How can riparian forests be preserved in the face of climate change ?
Riparian forests face numerous threats – whether biological, chemical, or human-induced – all against the backdrop of climate change. To address these threats, what challenges must a riparian habitat manager overcome ? How can they respond ? A thorough understanding of the issues and constraints at play is essential for the preservation of these habitats – especially for those who do not wish to automatically default to a restorative approach based on ecological engineering.
In an effort to address these questions, Astee and IdealCO co-organized this webinar, with support from the French Office for Biodiversity (OFB) and its Waterways Resource Center.
